The Titles' Role

If you asked yourself: According to Qabani and Hemingway, what does the title reflect?

                 "My Angry Cat"                                               "Cat in the Rain"


 
    After reading the masterpieces they introduced to the Eastern and Western literatures, one might realize that they aren't referring to a cat. However, a cat reflects women in their weakness and beauty. A cat is kind and gentle, but once offended, it turns to be surly and ruthless, like the woman in "My Angry Cat". Moreover, Hemingway compares the woman in his poem to a cat under the rain. The rain symbolizes the pressure, stress, psychological disorders, and hardship the woman is passing through by living with a heartless husband.
